The brand new version of Opti-Net™ is ready to rock!

October 9, 2017 By Jerry Bendiner

Opti-Net V 5.0

After many months of hard work we are happy to announce the release of version 5.0 of Opti-Net™ , our supply chain planning and optimization development platform. This has been, by far, our most ambitious upgrade to date, covering all aspects of the platform, from its modeling capabilities to the programming and analytical engines driving it.

What is new in Opti-Net™ v 5.0 …

Our aim, with this new version, was to improve on the four aspects that have helped our implementations succeed for over 2 decades: Produce good quality solutions, make life easier for users, enable adjustments as business needs evolve and offer a tough to beat return on investment.

Solving Any Supply Chain Problem, Anywhere
With version 5.0 our clients can model and optimize practically any type of strategic or tactical planning problem, from very high-level supply chain network designs to very detailed S&OP planning scenarios. The inclusion of currencies, units of measure and trade tariffs also provide the option to model and optimize global operations. This is all done ‘under the same roof’, organizing data and scenarios to accomplish exactly what is needed, in a matter of minutes.

Optimizing time, your most valuable commodity
If planners will need to spend hours organizing data, building and then optimizing a new scenario, it won’t matter how good or optimal the solutions are, or how powerful the analytics, because time is a resource usually in short supply. The new front-end design and the tailored logic and procedures running in the background combine to deliver applications where scenarios can be constructed and solved in a matter of minutes.

Analyzing stuff ‘in-house’, or with the help of others
In addition to major upgrades in the depth and quality of our Analytics/ BI component, clients now will have the option of connecting Opti-Net™ data to a third-party BI engine of their choice.

And what will never change

25 years and hundreds of supply chain modeling and optimization projects have only reinforced our conviction that the main ingredient to truly successful implementations is reducing to a minimum the time and effort required to manipulate, convert, extrapolate and validate scenario data. We accomplish this by tailoring the data structure, logic, interface, math model and analytics to reflect the specific needs and characteristics of the client organization.

This is why Opti-Net™ cannot, and never will be, a standard ‘out of the box’ software package.

Take it for a test drive!

Give us a call, or drop us a line, and we can either schedule an online demo session or forward you a complete runtime version of the system for you to try.
